The sun sets over the horizon
Blurring the lines between ocean and sky
I sit here thinking of how things went
Of when we said our last goodbyes
I miss you, so I speak your name gently
Wishing the ocean breeze to carry
The sound of my voice to you
On angel wings and airwaves as ferries
I say your name in whispers
My exhale shaking the trees
In hopes that it’ll make you shiver
In places one cannot see.

Ciao Bella •
*blushes* thank you & yes Avril Lavigne is amazing.
♥
You are welcome! I’ve listen to her ever since she came out with Skater Boy and Complicated, hopefully one day I’ll see her live!
❤
Same here. She has always been part of the soundtrack to the story of my life. Hopefully she’ll still be touring since I believe she has recently gotten engaged (again). Better get on those concert tickets fast! 😉
Any man that has her is lucky, she’s so badass!
I say your name in whispers
My exhale shaking the trees
In hopes that it’ll make you shiver
In places one cannot see.
Delicate and lovely
Thank you
❤

wonderful words strong and passionate,,,,,,,,,, in time
The time between is the hardest >.<
This is really fantastic! All those words hit my emotion button!
And I love the last four lines:
‘I say your name in whispers
My exhale shaking the trees
In hopes that it’ll make you shiver
In places one cannot see.’
Wonderful! 🙂
And where do you get those hearts from Britt? I’ve seen that one and a few others used on Jottify occasionally, and have never got round to asking how it’s done. I want one!! 😀
I was curious about that too, so like the nerd I am, I looked it up! lol.
For me, I just hit the ‘Alt’ button, and press #3 on the numerical keypad. If that fails, use the search function on your web browser on how to add hearts 🙂 Apparently you can find anything on the internet these days.
Thank you Suzy. Hopefully my poetry doesn’t start slacking once I return to work ^_^
Thank you for that, but it doesn’t seem to be doing anything on mine!! I obviously need something different, probably to do with programme differences. I’ll have to have a search on that! 😀
I figured as much 😦
Hopefully you’ll find something that works for you! ♥
your words
truly a magical

pure literary magic
My words are all I have at the moment, because I cannot pass on these feelings. So they shall reside in my heart and on these pages.
Hi Britt – this is a really delicate love poem – and the opening stanza is especially assured (so much depends on the opening lines of a poem, I find – I struggle a bit with those!). Avril Lavigne – well, I am not quite as keen as you clearly are – but this is a very apt and lush song – so love the post as usual!
Hi John 🙂
I struggle with the openings too! I usually work from the end, and then up. They take most of my time.
Avril is awesome. Perhaps it’s a female thing? The embodiment of a strong, sensitive, sexy woman.
Wow! These are passionate words flowing from a poetic heart. I love it!
Thank you 🙂
Truly awesome. Wow! I think that I will be rebloging your poems, whenever I am on your site. So wonderful.
Aww, thank you ♥
