199 ~ Make a Wish

I thought I knew what trust was
I believed in the limit of friends
And in my darkest moment
You pulled me through til the end

With horrid thoughts that haunt me
The nightmares that plague me at night
You have shown me so much kindness
A breath of selfless light

When the tears would not stop falling
I asked God to help see me through
Thinking he would help me stop this pain
But instead he sent me you

  1. That’s beautiful. My best friend is always upset about the pain I have to endure. She says she feels helpless because I am so strong through it all and she doesn’t know how I do it. I try very hard to always let her know how lucky I am to have her in my life. She’s a rare Earth Angel.

    • Thank you Lisa. Earth Angels are rarities to be treasured. And one must always show appreciation whenever they can. I too, wonder about the strength you posses to endure the pain and trials in your life. I hope you and Marion get a chance to see each other soon. ^_^

  2. Nice poem, should be a lucky guy your guy, do I miss something when I think that at the end of the day if I would have a person that I love the love eventually will fade away and more shit to me. IΒ΄m better off by my selfish self? Point being what you express in the poem and your saviour maybe in X time of time that saviour will become the subject of a poem like this one.(And not pulling you up precisely) But a touchy poem, just hope life would be that way, but it ainΒ΄t.

  3. How lovely!!β™₯ Special people are more precious than anything in our lives. I’d like to believe there are angels, but I’m really not too sure about anything I can’t actually see, but often friends and certain members of family are pretty much the same. Especially friends who seem to magically arrive just at the right moment! πŸ™‚

And I love the painting of the stars!β™₯

    • They definitely are. They share in our happiness and help us through trials, and they make life beautiful no matter what’s going on. I believe that people really do come in and out of our lives for a reason. They may not be permanent, but I’ve stopped questioning why. πŸ™‚

Me too. You know, it’s getting tougher to find pictures of dolls to post. Many are restricting others from sharing their work 😦

  4. This is beautiful, Britt! I’ve had my gift for more years than you’ve probably been alive! lol There is something special about best friends πŸ™‚

    • Thank you! And LOL. But that’s a good thing πŸ˜‰ I only received my best friend last year, so if you’ve had 28 years of a lasting friendship, then you two are quite the lucky ones. πŸ˜›

  5. nicely done with plenty of feel. though the last line has its direct message as to a friend. that friend could even be a pen.it sure can work out a quite a bit of stuff. i like pieces that show the muse.

And the wind whispers...
